At the Forest Park Public Library, we believe that to create a great space for teens, you have to relate and listen to teens.
We’re ready to listen and help you become your best self, while providing a safe and entertaining environment.
3 REASONS TO JOIN
Leadership Training
Joining a library club or volunteering provides you with skills you can use to put on a resume or get leadership positions at school!
Community Involvement
Get to know teens from Forest Park and also our neighboring towns through clubs, events, and even online gaming.
Have Your Voice Heard
Teens are the voice behind most of our teen programming. You have a say in our materials, activities, and events!
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Do you need volunteer hours for an honors club, scout troop, job experience, or other? Do you love the Library and want to be part of the team? Whatever your reason, we want you on our volunteer squad! Forest Park Public Library is currently accepting sign-ups for teen volunteers in grades 8-12.
To get started, fill out our sign-up form here, or e-mail Teen Librarian Martha with any questions.
The YA Service Club
Interested in service but don’t know where to start? Need community service hours? Join The YA Service Club! Forest Park teens are invited so share ideas on service projects, and then come together to pull them off.
YA Service Club meets on the first Wednesday of the month at 4:00 PM. Our first meeting will be September 6. See you there!
OPPORTUNITIES
YA Lounge Chats
This monthly meeting is when librarians check in with teens! Hear about updates to your space and services, while also having your voice heard.
Test Proctoring Services
Students in need of proctoring services are encouraged to fill out this form or ask a librarian for information.
A Listening Ear
Come by and talk to any of the YA Services staff if you have anything to get off your chest.
