Summer Reading Challenge

Ages Pre-K through Grade 7

This summer, read for fun, read what you love and participate in our challenge to stretch yourself, get creative, and learn new things.  The first reader registrants to sign up will have the chance to test out our special summer badge badge book. We would love to hear your feedback! As of right now, copies of the new badge book are still available if you haven’t claimed one yet. Stop by the Youth Services desk to get one. Our pre-reader game board is also available the library or for download here.

Explore Your World: 1000 Books Before Kindergarten

When should you start reading to your little one? Our answer: early and often! Regular reading to and with your child gives them a strong foundation for learning how to read, and for learning how to learn.

We hope to inspire you to use our 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program as a way for you and your little one to explore the world around you! Simply log every time you read a book together and collect prizes along the way. And yes, reading the same book over and over counts! Be sure to stop into the library periodically to pick up books, get some stickers, and collect your prizes.
