Explore Your World: 1000 Books Before Kindergarten
When should you start reading to your little one? Our answer: early and often! Regular reading to and with your child gives them a strong foundation for learning how to read, and for learning how to learn.
We hope to inspire you to use our 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program as a way for you and your little one to explore the world around you! Simply log every time you read a book together and collect prizes along the way. And yes, reading the same book over and over counts! Be sure to stop into the library periodically to pick up books, get some stickers, and collect your prizes.
Books Like Us: Winter Read 2021
This is our fourth annual Winter Reading Challenge with Beanstack, sponsored this year by Simon & Schuster. Books Like Us is a celebration of diversity, harnessing the transformative power of seeing oneself reflected in a book. This Winter, participating communities are invited to explore these books, from authors spanning an array of diverse backgrounds.
We challenge readers of all ages to read at least 500 minutes during the month and keep track of their reading on our Beanstack site at fppl.beanstack.org.
