Make & Take Kits

Take our art and craft workshops on the go with our Make & Take activity kits. Each kit includes materials for a few simple hands-on art and science activities and all contents are for your family to keep. Kits are offered for preschoolers through teens. No library card is needed to request a kit. These are available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. We will post an event on our Calendar of Events each time a new set is released.

Chill Out Bags

This is our middle grade equivalent to the Young Adult Hive Box. These kits contain a mixture of library materials, project or activity ideas, and free goodies to keep. Fill out this form to subscribe to the program. We customize our kits to preferences. Complete our feedback form each time to improve your customization or change your theme.

Preschool Make & Takes

Take our art and craft workshops on the go with our Make & Take activity kits. No library card is needed to request a kit. These are available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Stop at our lobby holds desk to request a kit or call our Patron Services desk at (708) 366-7171 to reserve one in advance. We post an event on our Calendar of Events each time a new set is released.

YS Themed Kits

These totes feature themes for younger children such as our storytime-to-go kits (Fairy Tales, Farm, Space, and more), activity kits such as our Kids’ Yoga or Baking Kit, and STEM-oriented kits for older kids such as our Ozobot and Wonder Workshop robot kits.
