You don’t need a new smart TV to start streaming your favorite apps. Stream library apps such as Hoopla and Kanopy or your favorite streaming services from your phone to your TV by plugging Chromecast into the HDMI port on your TV.

Requirements:

  • TV with an HDMI port
  • Wi-Fi network
  • Wi-Fi–enabled supported device
  • Google Home app

Can’t wait to get casting? Get started with these simple steps:

Step 1: Plug in your Chromecast device

Plug Chromecast into your TV, then connect the USB power cable to your Chromecast. Plug the other end of the USB power cable into the included power adapter which you will then plug into a power outlet.

Note: Only use the provided AC adapter.

Step 2: Download the Google Home app

On your mobile device or tablet, download the Google Home app.

Step 3: Set up Chromecast

Follow these simple Chromecast setup instructions.

Step 4: Cast content from cast-enabled app, such as Hoopla, Kanopy, Netflix, etc.
