Crisis intervention is an immediate and short-term emergency response to mental, emotional, physical, and behavioral distress. Crisis Intervention will help clients receive assistance, resources, stabilization and support.The Proviso Public Partnership is here to help.
Proviso Public Partnership also provides services such as:

Proviso Public Partnership has resources to connect you to a Service Coordinator that collects the information you need to determine what is right for you. They can also assist you to access the behavioral healthcare provider of your choice in areas such as:
- Youth Services
- Senior Services
- Substance Abuse Treatment
- Food Pantries
- Homeless Shelters/Housing
- Transportation

The Living Room is a peer-led non-clinical alternative to the traditional emergency room for those experiencing a mental health crisis. A visit to the Living Room provides the guest a safe and calm atmosphere to talk through and de-escalate the crisis, develop a plan to manage symptoms and receive resource information.
Anyone who is 18 and over who is feeling scared, anxious, angry, sad, or just needs someone to talk to can go to the living room. You can walk-in or call ahead. They are open 7 days a week and 365 days a year, open 24 Hours a day.

Free Mental Health Screening at Oak Park Public Library
The Oak Park Public Library offers free mental health screenings for children, teens, and adults on Wednesdays from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Main Library. A Rush psychologist conducts the assessments on-site.
