The Forest Park Public Library will hold a Book Donation Drive from April 10 through April 16 and a Book Sale on Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19.
Book Donation Drive
We will be collecting book donations from April 10 through April 16.
We will only accept books, DVDs and video games in good condition. We will not accept textbooks, CDs, or encyclopedias.
You can drop them off anytime during open hours. Do not leave donations outside of the Library when we are closed.
Library staff can give you a cart to help bring in books but cannot help bring items out of your car.
Book Sale
The Book Sale will happen on Saturday, April 18 from 11-4 pm and on Sunday, April 19 from 1:30-4:30 pm. This event is open to the public.
The cost of items: 50 cents for paperback, $1 for trade paperback and hardcovers, $2 for coffee table books, $1 for DVDs & videogames and $5 for Hot Picks. Cash is preferred. You can also pay with a credit card.
We will hold a special Pre-Sale from 10-11 am on Saturday, April 18 with an entry fee of $10. Pay for the pre-sale ticket ahead of time here.
A $5 bag sale will be held on Sunday.
Volunteers
Update: Our volunteer slots are full for 2026.
The Library is looking for volunteers to help with the book sale. Several slots are available and sign up can be done on Sign Up Genius. Click here. Participants will be asked to sign a waiver before they participate. Each volunteer will be able to pick three books for free.
All funds will go to support the Forest Park Cares Fund.
