As part of our continued commitment to access, confidentiality, privacy, and service, we wanted to inform you of some upcoming changes to hoopla digital’s user authentication policies.
As you may be aware, Forest Park Public Library provides access to over 800,000 audiobooks, comics, eBooks, movies, music, and TV shows through the hoopla digital media streaming platform.
On December 10, 2019, hoopla will be pushing out updates that will impact its electronic protocols and improve content access in accordance with FPPL’s patron borrowing policies.
During this time some users may be impacted and unable to borrow content on their mobile, desktop, set-top, and digital assistant (Alexa, Google, etc.) devices.
All hoopla users will be requested to use their PIN going forward. The PIN number was set when you registered for your library card. It is often the last 4 digits of your phone number.
If this does not work, you can call (708-689-6125), email at askus@fppl.org, or stop by the library to have a staff member reset your PIN.
Or, you can reset it by signing into your Library Account here and scrolling down to click on “Change PIN.”
For assistance adding your PIN to hoopla, here are instruction sheets for Android, iOS, and web.
